I had been waiting for coin for almost a year and was very excited to receive it 2 days back. I was expecting the setup to be a bit more nicer – ok for a 1st generation version, could have done better. Once I added the cards and sync’ed them, I successfully used the card in 1 place. Later, 2 of my subsequent attempts were a failure – it did not work in theater and in a coffee shop. They said, their systems had not been updated – I did not realize coin required any updates to point of sale machines. I was also very unfortunate, that in an attempt to use it at another place, I accidentally reset it. I’ve not be successful in getting it back operational in spite following the steps in the FAQ page for this exact thing.
Beware, if you delete the app and reinstall, all the cards you added would be lost – at least this is what happened to me on iOS.
