Each individual LED “bead” is shiny and water resistant. We wouldn’t recommend using them in a wet or damp environment. However, it’s an added layer of protection. Each LED “bead” gives off a glossy hue which pairs well with the black background. Like most, they can easily be hung on the wall or steadily placed on a shelf. Choosing the best LED marquee letter lights

As you can see, there are so many different options to choose from. Ultimately, selecting the best one is totally dependent on what you’re looking for in a set of light-up letters. All of the brands we’ve featured are fairly affordable and offer some slight differences amongst each other. Determining what’s important to you is what will help you choose between them.

How are light-up letters powered?

All of the previously mentioned marquee letters are powered via AA batteries. This means you won’t have to worry about a power source, but you will need to worry about batteries eventually running out of energy. Alternatively some options offer USB. Notably, the Obrecis Neon Letter Signs and WARMTHOU Neon Letter Lights are able to be powered via USB. In fact, each can be daisy-chained together so all you need to do is connect them to each other and plug one of them in.

How tall is each letter?

The majority of LED light-up letters are roughly 9″ in height or slightly less. The tallest option, the Barnyard Designs is a staggering 12″ tall, however not all letters of the alphabet are available. The shortest option, the WARMTHOU Neon Letter Lights are only 6″ in height. Figuring out your needs for a specific room or setting is essential. Each manufacturer will individually list each height and also give dimensions of width and depth.

What are the marquee letters made of?

Most manufacturers use ABS plastic in the construction of each letter. This keeps each one lightweight, inexpensive and easy to hang. Sure, it might be nice to own a set that’s heavy duty or comprised of metal. However, options like this simply don’t exist in today’s market.

Do you need a remote?

Some LED letters won’t come included with a remote. If they do, it’s likely to offer a wider range of customizable settings and effects. Powering on/off, Timers, fade ins/outs and color picking are the most common tasks these small remotes let you perform. If you’re placing a set of letters in a hard to reach area or high up on a wall, a remote may be a requirement.

What are LED marquee letters for?

Most people choose to use LED light-up marquee letters for decorating purposes. Weddings, baby showers and birthday parties are the most common events you’ll see them used at. However, they work equally well for businesses and even public signs in your window, car or office space. Since they can either be hung from the wall or placed flat on a table or shelf, there are endless scenarios where they could be quite useful.
