What I really appreciate is the option to extend the range by purchasing additional battery packs. You can double or even triple the distance you can travel, which is perfect for those long weekend rides. What I Didn’t Like
Quite Heavy
Despite its impressive features, the sheer weight of the Maxfind FF Belt is a slight drawback. Weighing in at just under 25 pounds, it’s undeniably heavy. Lugging this board around, especially over long distances or up stairs, can be a real workout. The hefty weight is largely due to its large battery and the composite materials used in its construction. While these elements contribute to its durability and performance, they also make the board less portable.
I found the weight to be particularly inconvenient when I needed to carry it for extended periods. Even though it has a portable handle, the bulkiness and weight combined can make it quite cumbersome.
The heavy build can be a challenge for those looking to travel with it. Whether you’re hopping on public transportation or packing it in a car, the size and weight make it less convenient compared to lighter models.
No Kick Turning
Another noticeable drawback of the Maxfind FF Belt is its lack of kick-turning capability. Since there’s no tail on either end of the skateboard, you can’t pivot-turn to change direction quickly. This can be frustrating, especially if you’re accustomed to traditional skateboards where a swift pivot-turn is second nature.
Unlike traditional skateboards, with the Maxfind FF Belt, if you need to turn around 180 degrees, you’ll have to dismount, lift it up, and place it back down facing your desired direction.
Battery Compartment
The compartment door for the battery doesn’t seem to have a super tight seal, leaving a small crack between the battery door and the deck. While this mightn’t be a huge issue for everyone, it doesn’t look as clean as it could. A slightly tighter fit would have allowed for a more secure and a cleaner appearance.
