I’ve been trying out Moonpod’s Ultimate Relaxation Bundle for the past 2 months and I must say, it’s probably the best bean bag style lounger for gaming.
I use it exclusively in my living room for playing Nintendo Switch and all members of my household have to take turns on it because we love it so much.
It consists of 5 separate pieces: The Moon Pod + Crescent Backrest + Lunar Lift Footrest + Faux Fur Rippled Throw Blanket (50″ x 60″) + 4D Pillow. You can view them on their official website.
To put it bluntly, it’s definitely the most comfortable seat in our living room. Perfect for console gaming or movie watching.
Comfort
The Moon Pod and all of the accessories are super plush and amazingly soft. It’s supportive for the most part, but it might take some initial adjusting before you use it. A simple “fluff-up” by giving it a shake is all you need for the main Moon Pod itself.
Perfect for one person and oversized to extend and support your entire body, all of the pieces are separate and detachable so you can use one or all of them to customize the way you relax.
Each of the pieces are sized and built differently for specific purposes. Filled with thousands of high-density beads, Moon Pod creates a unique floating sensation that promotes comfort and relaxation.
Moon Pod is both durable and portable, so you can enjoy personalized support for every moment. It’s soft and flexible with plenty of support for your entire body.
Lunar Lift Footrest and Crescent Backrest
The footrest is a smaller round ball that sits in front of the main Moon Pod “chair” and supports your feet at the same level. It’s soft yet firm and supportive once positioned as you’d like it.
The backrest is in the shape of a crescent and allows it to support your arms and back in a more-upright position.
Made out of the same fill and fabric as the main Moon Pod “chair” itself, the foot and backrests match perfectly with the whole set.
Faux Fur Rippled Throw Blanket and 4D Pillow
The Faux Fur Throw Blanket is a nice bonus that is literally the softest and comfiest blanket I’ve ever used. It’s super thick and plush and even after washing it a few times, it retains its softness and plushness.
It’s cool to the touch but incredibly warm if you snuggle underneath it. The 4D Pillow is another great inclusion that’s smaller than your average pillow but offers the same comfy supportiveness as the Moon Pod and all of the other accessories.
Customizable
The beauty of the Moon Pod bundle is that you can opt to use the pieces together or seperately at any time.
For example, sometimes I will be using the main Moon Pod unit while my kids share the Lunar Lift Footrest or Crescent Backrest as their own little bean bag chair.
While my wife is sitting on the couch enjoying the Faux Fur Throw Blanket or the 4D Pillow.
Each piece is “manageable,” meaning that you can easily move all of it from room to room.
Washable Covers
Thankfully, all of the pieces to the Moon Pod Ultimate Relaxation Bundle are included with a machine-washable cover that easily zips on and off.
The material is stretchy and moderately thick in order to withstand constant wear and tear. The covers protect the inner soft bean bag material which is cool to the touch and extremely plush.
I find all of the pieces to seem very durable as none of them have lost their shape even after consistent daily use over the past 2 months.
Any Downsides?
There’s only a couple slight downsides that I see to the Moon Pod and all of the bundled pieces. First of all, it tends to attract hair. We have pets and their fur tends to latch onto the covers. But with a quick wash, it cleans up nicely.
Also, it does take up a lot of space. If you have a small living room or nowhere to put it when you’re not using it, it can get in the way. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to move around since it’s so modular.
Final Thoughts
The Moon Pod bundle is super cozy and built well. I find myself using it on a daily basis, rather than sitting on our couch. When it comes to gaming, there’s nothing better than it.
While it does require an initial investment (with a somewhat steep price tag), the enjoyment you can get out of it, make it worth it.
