Having to switch from a modem with a Puma chip set to one with a Broadcom chip set because of a critical defect in the Puma 5-7 design. It causes severe latency jitter, enough to ruin online gaming and other higher demand functionality. It’s nice that your article identifies the chip set, apparently one of the hardest bits of info to come across, but you should really look into the problems Puma sets have been causing.
It’s been almost 2 years with no fix for Puma 6, and I’ve read that Puma 7 inherited the problem. Intel is sitting on it because a software update won’t fix it and they don’t want to soak the cost of a recall.
