But does their performance live up to the design? We’ll demystify everything, from the overall design to the sound quality. Overall Design

The first thing you’ll notice about the Axloie Goin G2 Wireless Earbuds is their relatively large size. This can be intimidating at first, because the ear hooks are fairly big. The main body of the earbuds is fairly large, with a big fin that extends from your ear. This fin has bright LEDs that indicate when the earbuds are being used and when they’re charging. It’s constructed from a matte black ABS plastic, with an attractive, futuristic form factor. There’s also a control button on each earbud. The button is fairly large, and it’s easy to find by touch. That said, it’s not comfortable to operate. You have to press harder than you would on a soft touch button, which can be irritating for sensitive ears. The buttons allow you to perform a variety of functions. You can play and pause music, skip tracks, adjust volume, answer and end calls, or activate your voice assistant.

In addition to being secure on your ears, the Goin G2 earbuds are IPX7-rated for water-resistance. This means they can be submerged at a depth of 3 feet for up to 30 minutes. Never mind a little bit of sweat, you can wear these earbuds under just about any conditions. Take a run in the rain, jam out in the shower, or even go for a swim. You won’t have to worry about your earbuds getting damaged by a little bit of water.

If you have sensitive ears, you might want to consider some earbuds with soft-touch buttons. If that’s what you need, take a gander at the Axloie Attitude-X9P Wireless Earbuds. They’re very comfortable and easy to operate. That said, the sound quality isn’t as good as what you’ll get from the Goin G2.

The Axloie Goin G2 also comes with a charging case, which is constructed from a matte black ABS plastic. It matches the earbuds perfectly, providing a unified look to the whole kit. One downside of this is that it has to be large enough to fit the relatively large size of the earbuds. It measures 4.9 inches in width, 4 inches in depth, and 1.9 inches in thickness. It also weighs 7.2 ounces. This makes it a poor choice for slipping into your pocket, since it’s fairly large and heavy. Battery & Connectivity

So you’ve got a waterproof, hard-to-lose design. But what about the battery? In this regard, the Axloie Goin G2 Wireless Earbuds perform quite well. They last for about 5 hours on a single charge, which is sufficient for most people’s purposes. When your buds run dry, you don’t have to immediately plug the case into the wall. Instead, you can recharge from the case in only 1.5 hours. The case provides enough of a charge for 6 additional charges, or 35 hours of total playtime between refills. As always, we should point out that these ratings are based on manufacturer tests. Since these tests are performed at moderate volume, your battery life will be lower at full volume.

As we mentioned, the Axloie Goin G2 earbuds recharge via Micro USB. The charging case has a capacity of 600mAh, and recharging via this method takes nearly 2 hours. This isn’t exactly impressive. That said, it’s certainly good enough, especially considering that you don’t need to recharge that often.

The Axloie Goin G2 Wireless Earbuds utilize the latest Bluetooth 5.0 connection protocol. This protocol is significantly more stable than the older Bluetooth 4.2 protocol. As a result, you won’t have to worry about dropped calls or jittery music. You also get virtually zero lag. Watch movies or videos all day long, and your audio will sync up perfectly with the video. The overall range is 33 feet, which should be sufficient for most purposes.

In addition to True Wireless Stereo mode, the Axloie Goin G2 offers two other connection modes. In shared mode, you’ll get a single mono signal through each channel. This is a great feature for watching a movie with a friend on a train or a plane. You can also connect a single earbud all by itself in mono mode. Sound Quality

Trebles and mids both come through with plenty of clarity. On the high end, you get lots of shimmer, which makes classical and country music sound fantastic. Cymbals and strings are crisp and clear, providing a great accent and not distorting the rest of the track. Similarly, vocals sound very smooth, and pop right to the front without any EQ adjustments. In other words, just about any genre of music sounds good. For a pair of wireless, Bluetooth earbuds, that’s saying something.

The ear tips themselves provide plenty of noise isolation. There’s no active noise cancellation, which is to be expected from a pair of earbuds. But just the seal between the ear tips and your ears will block out most ambient noise. This is a particularly useful feature if you frequently fly or commute on public transit. You can enjoy your own private world while you’re on the way to your destination.

The Goin G2 earbuds feature dual mics, which provide great sound quality. The person on the other end will be able to hear you very clearly when you’re using both earbuds. When using a single earbud, they may hear a bit more background noise. That said, they’ll still be able to understand what you’re saying. Clarity on your end will be just fine, depending on the other person’s mic.

Final Verdict

So, how do the Axloie Goin G2 Wireless Earbuds stack up to the competition? In general, they perform very well. Our main disappointment is the comfort of the design. To be fair, the ear hooks ensure that you get excellent retention. But they’re just not terribly comfortable, especially if you’re running and sweating.

That said, there’s still plenty to like about these earbuds. Let’s start with the sound quality. Good bass is almost impossible to find in mid-priced earbuds, and you get that from the Goin G2. Not only that, but the bass doesn’t come at the expense of other frequencies. It doesn’t muddy your vocals or rattle your trebles. The battery is also well-engineered, providing a total of 35 hours of use. Throw in the ability to quick charge your buds in 15 minutes, and you’ve got yourself a solid buy.
